MILES FOX was born on January 23, 1997, in Decatur, GA; son of George and Cheryl (Lambert) Fox.  He is the oldest of three children; his siblings are twins, Jackson and Gabriella.  Miles grew up and spent his childhood in Lawrenceville, GA.  His life has always revolved around football starting at the age of 8 and continuing through to play at the professional level.  He graduated from Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, GA and received scholarships to play football at both Old Dominion University, (where he earned his bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations).  He then transferred to Wake Forest University, where he continued playing football and earned his master’s degree.  During his final semester at Wake Forest, he was required to do a Capstone Project.  Miles and his mother had always discussed writing a book together, because of the stories they had about Jackson, so this was the perfect opportunity to dive in and write about it.  The books are based on his younger brother, Jackson, who is autistic.  Miles was always very determined to shine a light on autism because it is still very misunderstood and there is still so much more to learn about ASD and being on “the spectrum”.  “Jackson was not able to do a lot of the same things that I was able to do.  So, I wanted to be able to shine a light on him and on the disability that he has lived with in the hopes that it will tell the stories of countless individuals who are on the spectrum and who have had some of the same struggles as Jackson has had.”  Miles is currently a professional football player in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

CHERYL LAMBERT FOX was born in Honolulu, HI, and grew up in Memphis, TN; the youngest child of 4, her father was in the military, so she and her siblings were military brats who moved around.  She currently resides in Lawrenceville, GA with husband, George and the twins, Jackson and Gabby.  She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she earned her bachelor’s degree and later went on to earn her master’s degree. As a result of Jackson’s autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis, she paid attention.  Her quest to learn as much as possible about the developmental disability began to help friends and families learn more about it.  A retiree from AT&T, Cheryl currently works with a software company as a Business Analyst.
