“Joyful Jamal!” is a children’s book series about a young boy, Jamal, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This series takes a closer look at the reality of many children who are on the spectrum, which is often a challenging part of life. Jamal tries to find joy in the midst of his challenging life, in addition to making himself relatable to other children who have similar battles to him. We hope to shine a brighter light on the ASD community. We would also like to continue making the world more aware of ASD, and the many different ASD characteristics that different ASD children may have. Because every child with autism is different, there are different behaviors that we can highlight.  Our main objective is to make sure no more families will continue to suffer in silence because they believe that they are alone—they are never alone. We are a family!
